Fantasy Blogger Week 9 Results

This past week was the third in a row The Fantasy Blogger was stuck at merely a decent 2-2. Tony Romo and Adrian Peterson (Vikings) sent me to a huge 55-point win in the Fantasy Blogger League, which bumped me up to 7-2. One more win will virtually lock up a playoff spot for my team, but I’m hoping to do much more than that by hanging onto the #1 seed and a first-round bye in the playoffs.

My FFLeagues dynasty league games (Muncie Meat Grinders (5-4) and Muncie Marinos (5-4)), split yet again, partly due to my stupidity. I failed to check Frank Gore’s injury status, and it turned out he was unable to play for the 49ers in week 9. Even with a big bagel from one of my two RBs, my Meat Grinders hung close and lost 104-118. I would have pulled out the win if I’d replaced Gore with backup Jamal Lewis. Oh, well–at least my remaining regular season schedule gets much easier, as it is against losing teams with a combined 11-25, so I have no excuse for not maintaining or expanding my one-game division lead.

The Marinos have turned things around by winning three in a row. This week the team was tied for the week’s highest score. I also have a one-game division lead here. My Fantasy Hound Dog predictions didn’t get the job done this time around, so I fell to 7-2 and a share of the league lead. I now stand at 24-12 overall. I’ll take two out of three anytime–I just hope I can break this recent streak of two out of four. Good luck this week!
