Minnesota Vikings Fantasy Football Defense 2008

Fantasy Football Blog - With the acquisition of star defensive end Jared Allen, the Vikings have solidified themselves as the top fantasy football defense for 2008. Already number one in fantasy points last year, the Vikings added a great pass rusher to go with their already stout run defense.

I have Minnesota as the number one defense and wouldn’t hesitate to take them in the 7th round. Other top nominees are the Giants, Patriots, Chargers, Packers, and Bears. The Bears have been great in years past, but with continuing injuries in the defensive unit, they cannot be relied upon to be number one. The Ravens have aged so much, they don’t really cause any havoc fantasy points wise, although they do make the game ugly.

More on defenses as information becomes available, but the Vikings are definitely tops.
