Rookie Adrian Peterson Signs
Rookie running back Adrian Peterson inked a six-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. The seventh overall pick of the draft has the talent to make a big impact in the NFL, but it’s unsure just how much that will occur in his first season. Expect his rookie campaign to be similar to Joseph Addai’s–he should be a solid #3 RB who becomes a good #2 option after several games. He is recovering from a fractured collarbone and will work in tandem with Chester Taylor, so don’t overvalue him for this year. However, Peterson has a real shot at being a top-tier back within the next couple of years, so keeper league owners should bump him up accordingly.
