Sit: Week 2
Quarterback:
Joey Harrington - Just in case there is still anyone who hasn’t realized that he’s only the starter because Chris Redman is the only other option. It’s funny how so many commentators pronounce his name, “Joy” when he brings so little of it.
Alex Smith - Steve Smith had a great game against the Rams last week, but no WR on the 49ers is going to step up for Alex Smith like that.
Running Back:
Ronnie Brown - Bad offense. Jesse Chatman. Yuck.
Larry Johnson - Chicago shut down LT last week (except for his TD pass). LJ is next, but don’t even expect any TD passes from him.
Wide Receiver:
Laveranues Coles - He found paydirt twice last week, but this week he faces the Ravens–probably without Pennington. Go ahead and sit the entire Jets team.
Randy Moss - Now that he stuck it to all the “talk shows and the game shows,” let’s see if he can make me eat crow. I’m not saying he’ll totally stink this week, but I’m smelling about 50 yards and a 50/50 shot at a TD. Brady will loft a couple in the corner of the end zone, but it’s going to be tough for Moss to come down with one against a team that kept the Bears to a FG. If you have more consistent WRs or guys with better matchups, let Randy ride the pine.
Tight End:
Eric Johnson - Brees will be too busy lighting it up with his WRs this week to give Johnson much attention. If you have a guy who can beat 4 catches and 30 or 40 yards, play him instead.
Defense:
Miami - The Dolphins won’t give up 45 points against Dallas, but 27 isn’t so hot, either.
Kicker:
Rian Lindell - He won’t see many chances against the Steelers
