Sit: Week 3
First, here’s last week’s results (8-1 this week, 8-1 for the season):
Quarterback:
Joey Harrington - W-200 yds
Alex Smith -W-126 yds, 1 FumL
Running Back:
Ronnie Brown -W-33rush yds, 36 rec yds
Larry Johnson -W- 55 rush yds, 32 rec yds
Wide Receiver:
Laveranues Coles -W- 57 yds
Randy Moss -L-105 yds, 2 TDs-I went out on a limb with this one and fell right off. No guts, no glory.
Tight End:
Eric Johnson -W-18 yds
Defense:
Miami -W-37 pts, 1 sack-Did I say Dallas would hang 27 on them? I meant 37.
Kicker:
Rian Lindell -W-3pts
On to Week 3:
Quarterbacks:
Derek Anderson - Some prognosticators are expecting Anderson to have another big day this week. Not me–I haven’t forgotten about his lackluster preseason or dismal passer rating that was in the 60s before last week’s fluke bumped it up almost to a respectable level.
Eli Manning - Time for the inconsistent Manning to have a stinker. The Redskins will bury the Giants at 0-3.
Running Backs:
Cedric Benson - Dallas will jump on the Bears early and force Grossman to keep up with Romo in the passing game. Good luck with that, INT-Rex.
Marshawn Lynch - There will be little chance to run after the Pats go up by two touchdowns in the first quarter.
Wide Receivers:
Brandon Marshall - Denver is going to be grinding it out with the Jags in a low-scoring affair. Receiving yards will not be plentiful for #2 WRs.
Joey Galloway - New Orleans’ problems helped inflate Galloway’s totals last week. Look for St. Louis, desperate to record a win, to keep him under wraps.
Tight Ends:
Todd Heap - Baltimore and Arizona will both emphasize the run. That plus a gimpy Steve McNair will make Todd a fantasy dung Heap this week.
Defense:
Houston - Yes, the Texans have only yielded 24 points in two games (It didn’t hurt that one was against the Chiefs), but the Colts might have that many by halftime of this matchup.
Philadelphia - They have actually been pretty solid on D so far, but they can only put up with the offensive ineptidute for so long. I feel an implosion coming in week 3 against an overdose of the Detroit passing game.
Kickers:
Rian Lindell - J.P. “Loss”man seems to have regressed this year, and I wouldn’t quite say the same for the opposition this week.
