Start: Week 6
First, here’s last week’s results (5-6 last week, 26-20 for the season):
Quarterbacks:
David Garrard -L-218 yds, 1 TD, 9 rush yds- He was efficient, but he didn’t quite have the numbers you want from a starting fantasy QB.
Drew Brees -L-252 yds, 2 INTs- So much for thinking Brees would stop stinking.
Running Backs:
Ron Dayne -W-40 yds, 5 rec yds, 1 TD- He was able to find the end zone in a field goal fest.
Sammy Morris -W-102 yds, 9 rec yds
Wide Receivers:
Antwaan Randle El -W-100 yds
Donald Driver -L-51 yds
Tight Ends:
Desmond Clark -W-62 yds, 1 TD
Defense:
Tennessee -W-7 pts, 2 sacks, 2 INTs, 1 TD and Houston -L-19 pts, 1 sack, 1 INT
Kickers:
Shaun Suisham -L-6pts- He missed a FG that would have put him over the top.
Lawrence Tynes -L-5pts
On to Week 6:
Quarterbacks:
Kurt Warner - He was already cutting into Matt Leinart’s time. Now that Leinart is out with a broken collarbone, it’s all Warner. The 36 year-old veteran has enough game left to exploit Carolina, who also is missing their starting QB.
Donovan McNabb - You can always count on the Jets to make the opposing QB look good.
Running Backs:
Brandon Jacobs - Derrick Ward will get a decent chunk of the carries, but there will be plenty to go around again this week.
Adrian Peterson (Vikings) - Even the Packers got the running game going against Chicago.
Wide Receivers:
Wes Welker - He’s had little fantasy impact the last two weeks, but Brady will need him often in the big clash against Dallas.
Ike Hilliard - Jeff Garcia has built a good connection with him.
Amani Toomer - To avoid DeAngelo Hall, Eli Manning will be looking Toomer’s way.
Tight Ends:
Alge Crumpler - He’ll be targeted often when the Falcons play catch-up.
Defense:
Cleveland - If ever there were a time to start the Cleveland D, it’s against the mess that is Miami.
Kickers:
John Kasay - Arizona has been giving up a lot of FGs, and that will be about all the Panthers will muster with their QB situation.
